About Us

The John Walker Group is inspired by and dedicated to our founding family's patriarch,  John Eugene Walker.   

Born 1931 in rural Plevna, AL during the Great Depression, he took his first job as a bicycle delivery boy at age 10.

John was soon fending for himself in Chattanooga, TN at age 16.  

At 17 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he reported into the National Security Administration from 1950-1958.

John served in Alaska, Germany, California, and others.  Shortly after honorable discharge, he began work for the Provident Life Insurance Company (Unum Group), where he finished 30 years as Vice President of Computing.   

Above any of the accomplishments above were overshadowed by John's love for his family, including wife of 70 years, 2 children,  4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.  John adopted and took custody of multiple children during his lifetime, and strove to give them the life he wasn't granted as a child and adolescent.   

John never sold a car or piece of property for any more than he paid for it.   He took the harder right over the easier wrong every single time.  

Hardworking would be an understatement to describe John Walker.  

Since his passing in 2023, The John Walker Group was created to honor his rise from humble beginnings, his ethical treatment of all he encountered, and his care for his family and children.   

This ethos defines our mission - to consult and guide businesses toward success, while always doing what's right.
